Last Thursday the school finished their maple syrup making project. While the sap was boiled we participated in numerous fun activities. My favorites of these were: games, pancake making, spile making, and maple syrup taste testing. During the day the sap was boiled into syrup, and some syrup was made into maple sugar. Maple sugar is sap without any liquids. We also learned about the Native American traditions and lore about maple syrup. I think that this was one of may favorite school days, and I think that my classmates enjoyed it also.
- Allendale Columbia could not have done this project without the generous help of our Sponsors! Thank you!!!!
